Saberi & Ghobadi: Prison, Sex,Films and Lies

First Act, Prison: Roxana Saberi, American-Iranian journalist was convicted by Iran of spying for the U.S. and sentenced to 8 years priosn.
Second Act, Lover: Bahman Ghobai, an Iranian director writes a love letter and claims Roxana is his finace. He also says that Roxana was co writer of his film’s script. The same film is in competition in Cannes Festival.
Third Act,Lies: Saberi’s father said that Ghobadi is a kind of opportunist :“We think that he is using this opportunity to promote his films and gain global recognition,” said Reza Saberi, who has traveled to Tehran from his home in North Dakota. “Our focus is on our daughter’s freedom from prison. . . . We will not allow anyone to take advantage of our daughter’s [situation] in order to promote their own agenda.”

One source is no source. You come to the conclusion that Ghobadi is a Liar much too easy. At first you have the quote of Reza Saberi from second hand. Secondly you did not ask Ghobadi’s reaction to what Saberi says. You also indirectly suggest that Roxana is not a co-writer of Ghobadi’s film. “claims Roxana is his finace. He also says that Roxana was co writer of his film’s script. The same film is in competition in Cannes Festival.” Well, where are your facts??
